Nintendo of America,Inc.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project was a tenant improvement to Nintendo second floor that consisted of private offices, medium size conference rooms, software training/testing rooms, studio room, vocational classroom, break room, and toilets.
The tenant improvement HVAC system consists of seven new Fan Induction Terminal (FIT) units and an existing constant volume rooftop AC unit. The existing ductwork was revised for this new HVAC system. The FIT units are connected to the existing rooftop AC unit that was provided under the Shell Contract. A hot water coil provides heating; it is connected to the existing hot water loop of the existing boiler. The hot water coil is energized when space heating cannot be satisfied with the plenum air (first stage heat). The FIT units include 30% efficient throwaway filter, UL approval, thermal overload protection for motor, and hinged access door.
BUILDING MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEM
The FIT units respond directly to a space temperature sensor that is tied into the Energy Management Control System (EMCS) and modulate the supply air temperature as needed to maintain space comfort. The plenum space is used as a return air path.
